Beeliar Regional Park 

 

 

to Booragoon Lake Beeliar parks and wetlands are made up of 26 lakes and 3,400 hectare's of park. Included in this area are Thomson's Lake Nature Reserve, Bibra Lake, Cockburn Wetlands, Blue Gum Lake, Yangebup Lake, Piney Lakes, North Lake, the Spectacles and Bollard Bulrush Swamp (see the green areas on the map)

to Bibra Lake I have been enjoying spring and summer (2001) down at these lakes and include them in the 'Hotspots' for their wildlife value at this time of year . These and other lakes have come alive with the arrival of baby birds, ibis, frogs and lizards, and many wetland birds.

However,  I have been down to some of these lakes in the winter months and have not had the same experiences.
