Landforms and 
Landscapes  of WA 

 

There are a variety of different types of rocks, and you can read about them on the "what rocks are made of and how are they formed pages.  You will see on that page that different mixtures of sediments and minerals and heat and pressure can make  different types of rocks.  Just like that, different mixtures of rocks and minerals along with erosion and other geological processes can make different landscapes.  Around Western Australia there are some very  interesting rock formations and landscapes and we thought that while we were discovering geology and rocks, we should take a closer look them.
