Jarradale old growth forest in July. This fungi was accidentally found when I stopped to look at a toadstool.

These fungi were buried about 4cm below leaf litter up against a log.

The whole group measured 40cm wide, each smaller cluster measured 5cmwide.

This is a close up.  The fungi was tough and hard to squeeze.

This is how the fungi was attached under ground.  I wasn't able to see if they were attached to the log.  I found another small piece of this fungi in this state forest but it had been dug up and eaten or removed.

Pink false truffle.  Found at Star Swamp Reserve in Waterman Perth in July.  It was collected and identified by a licensed collector as we were attending a fungi seminar.

Below is another group of truffles found at the same reserve but were not identified.

This is a truffle cut open from the same reserve in Waterman, Perth.

In darker lighting conditions we sometimes have to use a torch to photograph which can alter the colour of the fungi slightly.
