Ashendon Rd, Mt Dale, Perth in June. There were 5 of these fungi. The gills were the same colour as the cap. |
Stacey Track, Jarradale, Peel, in June. There were two of these fungi. One measured 3.2cmw x 9.5cmh. This is a Jarrah/Marri tree forest with some old growth trees. |

Gleneagle State forest, Albany Hwy, Perth

Brookton Hwy National Park east of Perth in September. This fungus was growing under Wandoo trees. |

Sometimes you come across a fungi that has been completely eaten as it was here at Gleneagle State Forest. White capped fungi were uprooted but not eaten. |
This is the only piece I found that wasn't eaten. The animal had eaten the stalk below the ground. Due to the large amount of digging that had been done and the large scats we found its thought that feral pigs were eating this fungi. |
This fungus was seen at another place at Gleneagle state forest, it could have been the same fungus that an animal had eaten previously. It measured 14cmw x 10cmh. Go to our Grossest fungi page to see how this fungi rots! |

There was one of this fungus found next to a Marri tree on Stacey's Track, Jarradale in July. It measured 13cmw x 10cmh. Nothing had been eating it. |
This is the same fungus. You can see its a girl fungus as its wearing a skirt. |
