Of Western Australia

 

Ashendon Rd, Mt Dale, Perth in June.  There were 5 of these fungi.  The gills were the same colour as the cap.

Stacey Track, Jarradale, Peel, in June.  There were two of these fungi.  One measured 3.2cmw x 9.5cmh.  

This is a Jarrah/Marri tree forest with some old growth trees.

Stacey Track, Jarradale, Peel, in June.  There were 2 of these fungi, one measured 4cmw x 3.8cmh.  It had cream gills.

Gleneagle State forest, Albany Hwy, Perth in June.  There were 11 of these growing in the car park in pea gravel.  One measured 5.5cmw x 4.5cmh

Brookton Hwy National Park east of Perth in September.  This fungus was growing under Wandoo trees.

Sometimes you come across a fungi that has been completely eaten as it was here at Gleneagle State Forest.  White capped fungi were uprooted but not eaten.

This is the only piece I found that wasn't eaten.  The animal had eaten the stalk below the ground.  Due to the large amount of digging that had been done and the large scats we found its thought that feral pigs were eating this fungi.

This fungus was seen at another place at Gleneagle state forest, it could have been the same fungus that an animal had eaten previously.  It measured  14cmw x 10cmh.   Go to our Grossest fungi page to see how this fungi rots!

 

There was one of this fungus found next to a Marri tree on Stacey's Track, Jarradale in July.  It measured 13cmw x 10cmh.  Nothing had been eating it.

This is the same fungus.  You can see its a girl fungus as its wearing a skirt.

 

Leschenaultia Conservation Park, off Great Eastern Hwy, Perth in June.  There was one of this fungus and it measured 6cmw x 3cmh.  Something had been eating it.

This is the cap from the photo on the left.  It measured 3cmw x 5.4cmh and was growing amongst ferns.

Gleneagle State forest in June.  There were 6 of these fungi growing in jarrah leaf litter on pea gravel.  One measured 8.5cmw x 4cmh.

Gleneagle State forest, Albany Hwy, Perth in June.  There were two of these fungi growing in reeds on pea gravel.  One measured 6.5cmw x 4.5cmh

Jarradale old growth forest in late June.  These flat rubbery like fungi had whiteish gills.  There were 9 growing in jarrah leaves and one measured 4cmw x 3cmh.

Jarradale old growth forest in late June.  There were 24 of these fungi growing in pea gravel and jarrah and banksia leaves.  One measured 8cmw x 4.5cmh

Jarradale old growth forest in late June.  There was one of this fungus growing in jarrah leaves.  It had bright white gills and measured 4cmw x 4.5cmh.

Gleneagle State forest, Albany Hwy, Perth in June.  This was growing right next to the fungi on the left.  There was one and it measured 17cmw and the sides measured 21cmh.

This is the same fungus on the left.  It was growing in leaves under marri trees.
